Parkland Reformed Church invites you to join us as we gather together for the Fall 2026 PONOKA URC Addictions Conference
Scripture labels it ‘house of bondage’, we call it ‘addiction’. Bondage. Addiction. Slavery.
You may well be celebrating freedom (again!) or deeply yearning for freedom from the grip of alcohol, drugs, work, perfectionism, people-pleasing, digital distraction, family dysfunction, sex from hell (pornography) or wounds you've spent a lifetime avoiding.
In any case, this conference offers compassionate encouragement to join in the conversation about living life in complete freedom in Christ in this age of addiction.
Be encouraged to attend to share your insights, wisdom and experiences as we journey together on the way to Him who offers Truth and Life.
Heres Snijder joins us from Anchor Counselling (www.anchorcounsellor.ca). Heres has a background in education and counselling services where he can apply the Grace of Christ to all aspects of his encounters.

Friday Evening (7:30 - 9:30)
Invitation is for all people age 13+
- Topic will be "It Takes a Village" - Good News about knowledge, skills and attitudes for living free from addictions.
- Parents are encouraged to join as this is a preface course for Saturday courses
Saturday (9:15 - 2:30)
Invitation is for all Adults age 18+
- Morning session is "More than Conquerors!" - Fight, Faith & Freedom – the Battle, the Beliefs and the Benefits of Combatting Addictions of any Kind.
- Afternoon session is "When Addicts Populate our Pews" - Spiritual Oversight & Soul Care for the Addicted Church Family Member
