CATECHISM
What is Catechism Class?
Catechism class is the instruction of our church's youth (from Grade 2 all the way through Grade 12 and beyond) in the contents of our Reformed Confessions, namely, the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession and the Canons of Dordt.
When Are Catechism Classes Held? Every Sunday following the afternoon service for children in grades 2 through 4; as well as every Tuesday evening for those in grades 5 and up from October through April.

NURSERY
Parkland's Nursery provides loving childcare for infants and toddlers from birth to three years old during the morning and afternoon worship services. It is our desire to have a place where responsible parent volunteers can create a safe atmosphere of love and laughter for young children, so they may experience the love of Christ as they play and interact.
With a safe, loving and fun environment for children to go, their parents can participate in the Church services without concern for them. We also want to ensure that children’s church times are happy times and provide a foundation for their faith.
Parkland's Nursery runs year-round during the AM and PM worship services.

KIDS READING PROGRAM
The Parkland Kid's Reading Program is designed to introduce our children to the library and also develop a love for reading Christian liturature. Volunteers take turns each week reading a book out loud to the kids.
Who can take part in the Kid's Reading Program? Any child from 2 or 3 years of age through to Grade 6 is encouraged to attend.
When is the Kid's Reading Program held? This program follows the PM worship service and runs year round.

STORY HOUR
Every other Tuesday morning from October through April, Parkland offers a Story Hour program for 3 & 4 year olds. Parklands Story Hour program is designed to teach children the stories of the Bible and help them learn the truths that it contains. Our goal is that the children who attend Story Hour will feel loved and valued as a member of God's family who can learn and interact in an exciting, innovative and inspiring environment.
What happens at Story Hour? Every other week the children take part in a lesson from a story of the Bible, as well as singing, crafts, and lots of fun games!
When is Story Hour held? Story Hour takes place every other Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 11:00am, at the same time as our Ladies Fellowship.

CADETS
What is Cadets? Cadets is a program designed for boys between the ages of 9 to 13. The basis of the Cadet program is the Word of God (the Bible) according to the concept of the same as expressed in the Heidelberg Catechism, the Canons of Dort and the Belgic Confession.
Get ready to have fun and grow in your faith! When Parkland's Cadet club meets, the group engages in many exciting and rewarding activities such as participating in Bible study, crafts, projects, games, and merit badge achievement programs that explores a boy’s specific interest areas.
God is Revealed in Nature! The cadetting ministry encourages experiencing the presence of the Lord in His glorious creation. Learning the skills of an outdoorsman builds a boy’s character and developing a boy’s understanding of his place in God’s world helps him to be a faithful steward.
Men as God’s Servants! Cadets is a ministry of men of God who are dedicated to bring boys into a living relationship with their Lord and Savior. These men, understanding their imperfection, hold on to the promise that the Lord will bless their prayers, their example, and their instruction if they rely on God’s strength.
When Is Cadets Held? On the 3rd Friday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm (except for a few exceptions in lieu of holidays) at the church. Cadets runs from October to May.

KINGDOM SEEKERS
What Is Kingdom Seekers? Kingdom Seekers is a Christian club for girls aged 9 through 13 (though not exclusively those ages). In this club, girls learn the Bible through interesting studies, various activities and crafts. At our monthly meetings, we start off with God’s word and our theme motto and verses. We sing and share prayers requests and then spend time doing devotions and Bible study. We use the last part of the night to do badge work or a craft and always try to fit in a game or two.
The Goals of Kingdom Seekers! To provide a Church organized program to involve young covenant girls in interactive learning focused on Bible knowledge. This program is based in Reformed doctrine as outlined in the Three Forms of Unity (Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, Canons of Dort) and application thereof, as well as in other life skills, which prepare them for service in God's Kingdom.

When is Kingdom Seekers held? Kingdom Seekers meets on the 1st Friday of each month (except for a few exceptions in lieu of holidays). We meet at the church from 7:00-9:00pm. Kingdom Seekers runs from October to May.
